Katharina Alber & the Boogie
Already as a child I was fascinated by my grandfather, Artur Rogger, with his style of
playing the piano. In his early years, he helped me to play the pianoforte in his Tyrolean jazz.
Artur accompanied me with my first attempts on the piano and still plays with me on many
performances (eg my festival, Jazz live in Gritsch).
In my later years with already gained experience in the pianoforte play, a more
casual coincidence with the Tyrolean star boogie pianist Robert Roth brought the final
decision to devote his own pianoforte play to the Texan style Boogie-Woogie.
